Support Atelier South

George Anthony Morton’s story is one of resilience and talent emerging from the oppressive circumstances of prison. In the film Master of Light, George demonstrates the healing power of art and illuminates intergenerational cycles of trauma that fuel mass incarceration.

George’s studio, Atelier South, is helping people find their purpose and passion through art workshops. Atelier South brings a first-of-its-kind art initiative to metropolitan Atlanta, offering students of all levels the ability to learn painting principles dating back to Renaissance classical antiquity.

Donate $400 to Atelier South and receive a limited-edition print of George Anthony Morton’s award-winning 2016 charcoal drawing “Mars” on fine art archival paper. All prints will be shipped directly from Grenning Gallery, where George’s work was first shown in 2017.
