REPRESENT JUSTICE is donating 20,000 masks to prisons

Prisons and people that live and work in them are extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 due to the lack of ability to social distance, not enough PPE and other sanitation supplies, and overcrowding. The Represent Justice campaign is donating 20,000 masks to prisons in which it has held programs and initiatives such as Play for Justice, concerts and art projects, over the last seven months. The facilities include: California Correctional Institute, California Rehabilitation Center, Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center, Folsom State Prison, Grafton Correctional Institution, Racine Correctional Institution, and Ventura Youth Facility.

This effort is part of the Represent Justice Emergency COVID-19 Relief Fund which is also supporting local organizations, selected by formerly incarcerated Represent Justice surrogates, ambassadors and advocates, that serve system-impacted communities. We believe that we must protect the health and safety of all those on the inside, especially those not able to protect themselves and help to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.
