Job Title: Community Wellness Manager
Reports To: VP of Original Storytelling
FLSA Status: Full-time Exempt
Location: Los Angeles, CA preferred, but remote is an option.
Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000
Represent Justice is a dispersed, hybrid organization, with staff in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, District of Columbia, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Represent Justice is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that turns stories into action to change the justice system, while building the capacity of system-impacted communities. A theory of narrative change forms the foundation for our work, which we carry out through two primary storytelling verticals—Films & Series Impact Campaigns, and Original Storytelling. Our network of formerly incarcerated Ambassadors, community partners, and film participants has grown to a vibrant, supportive group of people impacted by the system looking to connect to new audiences, share their stories, and grow their narrative power in the field of justice reform. Reflecting the communities we serve, the Represent Justice team are majority people of color and includes directly-impacted experts and movement leaders—a critical part of ensuring our strategies and activities stay true to our mission and vision.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Represent Justice is seeking a Community Wellness Manager to design and implement community-building and wellness activities for Represent Justice staff, Ambassadors, and film participants.
The Community Wellness Manager will serve as the organization's in-house mental health and wellness practitioner, providing direct support to system-impacted individuals. This role combines clinical expertise with a commitment to community building, offering emergency interventions, individual and group wellness sessions, and connections to long-term reentry and support resources. The ideal candidate is both trauma-informed and justice-oriented, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of Supervisor.
Direct Support & Resources
Provide emergency mental health support and crisis intervention as needed.
Facilitate individual mental health sessions focused on emotional regulation and reentry.
Lead group wellness sessions designed to build community, enhance coping skills, and address shared experiences.
Provide referrals to external mental health providers, rehabilitation services, and other community resources for deeper, long-term support.
Maintain a robust directory of mental health, wellness, and reentry support resources.
Community Building & Facilitation
Plan and facilitate in-person and virtual community-building activities that promote healing, connection, and well-being.
Collaborate with program staff to integrate wellness into organizational programming.
Develop and deliver workshops on topics such as stress management, mindfulness, and trauma recovery.
Co-design opportunities for Alum to remain part of the Represent Justice community.
Administrative
Document client interactions and maintain confidentiality in alignment with ethical standards.
Collect and analyze data on wellness program impact to inform and improve services.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Licensed mental health practitioner (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
Previous experience providing mental health services to system-impacted individuals or underserved communities.
Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care and restorative justice practices.
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Familiarity with reentry challenges and the criminal justice system.
Proficiency in virtual counseling and telehealth modalities
