Gretel Truong

Vice President of Impact Campaigns, REPRESENT JUSTICE

Gretel is the Vice President of Impact Campaigns for Represent Justice. She has over a decade in global campaign, content creation, and nonprofit experience. Previously, she served as Director of Communications at GENYOUth and managed the international social action campaign around the release of the documentary, He Named Me Malala at the Malala Fund. There, she launched Malala Fund programs in India and in refugee camps in Kenya and helped engage over 1.3 million people in over 10 countries through the Stand #withMalala campaign. She is also a founding champion of A World at School and served as Senior Project Manager at the Global Business Coalition for Education. Through this work, she has collaborated with multiple world leaders and youth activists and has led digital advocacy initiatives in over 50 countries.

Gretel is an award winning video producer and also worked as a media consultant in Washington, D.C., serving clients such as HBO, Google, Bloomberg LLP, CURE Epilepsy, and the Pickens Plan. She has covered major events and elections and produced independent short and documentary films. Gretel has served on multiple nonprofit boards and is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
